In addition to his many traditional responsibilities, Grand Master Terry W. Posey has been keeping a blog of his activities as Grand Master.  The blog’s web address is http://gmohio.blogspot.com.

Wikipedia explains that “a blog (a contraction of the term "web log") is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.”

“I wanted to give the Brethren a chance to see what their Grand Master was doing as the year progressed,” explained Grand Master Posey.  “I spend a lot of time with meetings, phone calls, and emails in order to accomplish the work of Grand Lodge.  Obviously, I don’t post the day-to-day activities, but I do try to keep the blog updated with my activities of a more general Masonic interest”

A few other Grand Masters around the country are also blogging, but Grand Master Posey is the first Ohio Grand Master to do so.

Grand Master Posey’s blog was started just after the Grand Lodge session in October of 2009.  The Grand Master updated his blog 61 times in the remaining months of 2009, and the dedication of the new lodge hall of Morning Dawn Lodge No. 7 on Saturday, January 2, 2010 has given him a good start on blogging through the new year.
