Grand Master's Message
Welcome to the Grand Lodge of Ohio. I hope you will take some time and take a look at our site. Please sit back and enjoy what Freemasonry is all about in Ohio. There is a great deal of information that I feel you will find interesting. Please contact us if you have any questions.I would like to thank all of the brethren that have put their trust and faith in me, by electing me as your Grand Master. I am very humbled and honored and will do my very best to see that Freemasonry in Ohio continues to live by the tenants of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. As I travel this great State, I know Masons everywhere will join with me in seeing that our Fraternity is alive and well in their communities. I firmly believe in a saying that I have used for many years, which is “excitement breeds excitement” and this is very true. With the help, commitment and understanding from each of you, together we can have an enjoyable year. Freemasonry – Together we can… is my theme this year and it can be used in so many different ways.
Together we can help those in need or are less fortunate in our Fraternity and in our communities. Together we can continue to support our troops who fight for our freedoms that we enjoy each and every day. Together we can work on membership and in keeping our members active in Lodge. For our new members, educate them on all the great things our Fraternity has to offer and that the bond of Brotherhood is very special.
I pledge to you that myself, the Grand Lodge Officers, DDGM’s & DEO’s will be working hard to educate, encourage and inspire each of you and your Lodge this coming year. The vision of our forefathers has not been and will not be forgotten. We must always search for more light and show others that we are the greatest Fraternity in the world.
Do you make a difference? I have asked this question many times in Lodges here in Oho and have received many different and interesting answers. I believe that each of us as a Freemason do make a difference, in the lives of our families, in our vocation and to those around us, in our communities and in your Lodge.
In closing I hope that each of you will help in making this a great Masonic year. May God Bless our Service men and women, our Nation and each of you who I call my friend and brother.
Freemasonry – Together we can…
Fraternally,
James F. Easterling Jr.
Grand Master
