1901 – Frank Sheldon Harmon

M. W. Brother Harmon was born at Aurora, Ohio, November 15, 1858. He married Miss Lucy Noble to this marriage two daughters were born.

M. W. Brother Harmon received his education in the public schools of Aurora. In 1887, he became associated with the Weideman Company, at Akron, but was transferred to Cleveland in 1900. He remained in the employ of this company for thirty years. In 1924 he was appointed as Director of Parks of the City of Cleveland, and continued to hold this office until September 1927. M. W. Brother Harmon was a director of the Guardian Trust Company, and had official connections with other financial institutions.

M. W. Brother Harmon was raised a Master Mason in Village Lodge, No. 274, in Burton, Ohio, January 26, 1881, and later served his Lodge as Worshipful Master. In the Grand Lodge of Ohio, he held various offices and was elected Most Worshipful Grand Master on October 25, 1900. He was Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge of Ohio at the time of his death.

He received the Capitular Degrees in Chardon Chapter, No. 106, R. A. M., of Chardon, Ohio, October 17, 1883.He was knighted in Eagle Commandery, No. 20, K. T., of Painsvi1Ie, Ohio, January 14, 1884.

M. W. Brother Harmon became a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Cleveland in 1892, and was made a Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret in Lake Erie Consistory, of Cleveland, February 10, 1893.

He received the Thirty-third Degree and Honorary Membership in the Supreme Council at Boston, September 15, 1903, and was crowned an Active member on September 20, 1906, at Boston. In the Supreme Council, M. W. Brother Harmon served on various committees. He was the representative of the Supreme Council for the Netherlands near our Supreme Council, and had acted as Deputy for the State of Ohio since December 1910. He was Chairman of the Finance Committee for many years.

Funeral services were held at the Masonic Temple in Cleveland by The Grand Lodge of Ohio under the direction of Most Worshipful Harry G. Gram, Grand Master. Interment was in the Lakeview Cemetery, Section 1, Lot 130, Cleveland, Ohio.
