1991 – Charles K. Neff

M. W. Brother Charles K. Neff was born March 25, 1933 in Ashvi11e, Harrison Township, Pickaway County, Ohio to Charles and Dora Neff. The family subsequently moved and settled in the Columbus area.

Brother Neff was educated in the Columbus Public School System and received advanced mathematics courses while serving in the U.S. Army. He served a 14-month tour of duty in Korea.

He was employed by the Harry Wellnitz Company in Columbus for 34 years before moving on to Oberfie1d’s Inc., of Delaware, Ohio where he has been employed as a Sales Representative since July of 1988.

In August of 1953 he married Mary E. Carl of Grove City. They are the parents of one son. They have one grandson and they all reside in Grove City. M. W. Brother Neff is affiliated with Grove City United Methodist Church.

M. W. Brother Neff was raised a Master Mason in Luther B. Turner Lodge No. 732 on May 17, 1957 and served as Worshipful Master in 1972 and 2003. He is also a member of the York Rite bodies in Columbus, Ohio, West Gate Chapter R. A. M. No. 216, West Gate Council No. 129, and Mt. Vernon Commandery No.1, Columbus. He is a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and was elected to receive the 33rd Degree in Indianapolis, Indiana in September 1991. He is also a member of Aladdin Temple Shrine, (Past Masters Unit), Columbus, Ohio and Grove City Chapter No. 502, O. E. S., where he has served as Worthy Patron three times. Brother Neff is a member of the John L. Owls Council, Allied Masonic Degrees and received the DeMolay Honorary Legion of Honor in 1981.

M.W. Brother Neff was appointed a District Deputy Grand Master of the Fourteenth Masonic District, in October 1979 and was appointed as Junior Grand Deacon in 1984 by M.W. Brother C. Rolland Lattanner. He subsequently moved through the line until he was elected Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio on October 19, 1990.
