2021 – Richard A. Dickerscheid

Most Worshipful Brother, Richard Allen Dickerscheid, was born to Richard Fredrick and Betty Francis Dickerscheid in Hamilton, Ohio on February 12, 1964. He attended the Talawanda school system, graduating from Talawanda High School in Oxford, Ohio in 1982. Rich married Teresa M. “Teri” Dsuban on December 1, 1984, at St. Mary’s Parrish located in Oxford, Ohio. Teri and Rich have two children, Jonathan and Amanda, as well as two granddaughters and a grandson. Since 1988, Rich has been an upstanding employee of John Dsuban Spring Service, a thriving truck and trailer repair business, where he is responsible for inventory control and sales.

Although Mr. Dickerscheid had known many Freemasons in personal and business relationships, it wasn’t until the fall of 2002 when he petitioned a Lodge of Master Masons. After submitting the petition to College Hill – Harry S. Johnson Lodge #641, Worshipful Brother Dickerscheid received the Entered Apprentice Degree in November 2002, passed to the Degree of Fellow Craft in December 2002, and raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on January 16, 2003, after which he served as Senior Steward, Senior Deacon, Junior Warden and Senior Warden respectively. Brother Dickerscheid was elected and served as Worshipful Master in 2008.

Worshipful Brother Dickerscheid served as President of the “Wild Bunch Degree Assistance Team”, who supplies various parts of the Fellow Craft Team when a lodge needs help performing such duties. He was then asked to be an officer of the First Masonic District Officers Association, eventually being elected President in 2013. After serving as President of the FMDOA, Rich was asked to serve as a District Deputy Grand Master of the First Masonic District in 2014 by MWB Norman J. Mick.

Brother Dickerscheid served as Most Wise Master of the Cincinnati Chapter of Rose Croix of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati from 2016 to 2017, and received the 33rd Degree in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the fall of 2019. He is a member of Cumminsville Chapter of Royal Arch Masons #158, Hubert O. Auburn Chapter of Royal and Select Masons #149, Cincinnati Commandery #3, St. Columba Conclave, and Red Cross of Constantine. Rich is also a member of the Society of Past Masters of Cincinnati and Vicinity, National Sojourners Cleveland Chapter #23, Marvin Chapter #376 Order of Eastern Star and the Syrian Shrine, where he served as a Steward and an Ambassador. In September 2019, Rich received the DeMolay Legion of Honor, which honors those who have actively demonstrated outstanding leadership in some field of endeavor, whether it be a civic, professional, fraternal or spiritual arena.

In October 2014, at the Grand Lodge of Ohio Annual Communication held in Cincinnati, Ohio, Right Worshipful Brother Richard A. Dickerscheid was asked to serve the Grand Lodge of Ohio by MWB Norman J. Mick where he was appointed to the position of Senior Grand Deacon by MWB Steven Cokonougher, Grand Master of Masons in Ohio. He was subsequently appointed as Grand Marshal and Grand Orator. He was elected Junior Grand Warden in Dayton in 2017, Senior Grand Warden in Sandusky in 2018, Deputy Grand Master at Marietta in 2019, and honored to be elected to serve the Brethren of Ohio as Grand Master, installed in Wilmington on October 23, 2020.
